ELECT NEW OFFICERS FOR FOLLOWING YEAR If your chapter hasn't already done so, the National Office encourages you to elect new officers for the upcoming 2003-04 year. Why so far in advance? We want your chapter to have a smooth transition from year to year. However, the number one problem we hear from chapters nationwide is exactly the opposite: chapters NOT having a smooth transition. Many chapters report on how last year's officers are gone, and the current officers don't know what to do. Instead, provide a smooth transition for your chapter by electing next year's officers in December or January and having them come alongside this year's officers so as to learn what their responsibilities and duties will be in the coming year. http://www.psichi.org/chapters/off_guidelines.asp 

NOMINATIONS FOR NATIONAL OFFICERS A Call for Nominations to nominate candidates for Psi Chi President-Elect was mailed to all chapters, and each chapter in the Eastern, Rocky Mountain, and Western regions also received a form to nominate a candidate for vice-president in their respective region.
