April 13, 2000: Associate Professor Nancy
Hanna has been named the 2000 Arthur and Ilene Bayhnam Award Winner.

February 5, 2000: Connie
Wolfe presented Contingencies of Worth: Theoretical
Overview, Emerging Evidence and Future Directions at
the 1st annual meeting of the Society of Personality and
Social Psychology, Nashville, TN.

January 13, 2000: Lillian Dine
Young was born to proud parents, Skip and Katie Dine
Young.

November 30, 1999: Holly Bell '94
visited the department to discuss her work experiences
since graduation. Especially, she discussed her current
work in assisting developing violence prevention programs
in schools out at Denver. This program is a response to
the shooting in Littleton Colorado where she lived at the
time of the shooting.

November 18, 1999: John Krantz
delivered the Presidential address at the 29th annual
meeting of the Society for Computers in Psychology. The
talk was entitled: Tell Me, What Did You See? The
Stimulus on Computers.

August 1, 1999: The psychology
department would like to welcome Connie Wolfe as a new
Assistant Professor in psychology. She is a social
psychologist coming to us after finishing her Ph.D. at
the University of Michigan.

1998-1999
-
February 16, 1999: The
psychology department is excited to announce the
permanent appointment of Dr. Stephen Dine Young to
department. That makes three of us permanent folks now.

Dr. John Krantz and Jennifer Oser '00 will speak on a
pilot study for a company he is consulting with. The
topic is "A psychophysical evaluation of TV image
quality: The coming of HDTV" at 3:30 pm 11/5 in

Leslie Taylor, '93, successfully defended her
dissertation and has completed all requirements for her
Ph.D. 10/28/98

Karen Smith, '93, will speak on Implicit Learning and Unintentional
Performance 4:00 10/5 in Science Hall 307. She is a

1997-1998
-
Dr. Roger Terry has retired after 30 exemplary years of
work for Hanover College. We wish him well in his future
adventures. An alum, Leslie Taylor, '93, will replace him
for 1998-1999 and a search for a permanent replacement
will take place that year.

Dr. Carolyn Lee Resigned in January 1998. She will be
replaced for the 1998/1999 year by Dr. Dine Young and we
will permanently replace her in the Fall of that year.

Dr. John H. Krantz has been elected President for the
Society for Computers in Psychology effective for 1999.

1996-1997
-
J. Barton Luedeke, '64, is a recipient of an alumni
achievement award to be given on March 26, 1997. He is
also the President of Rider University.

Ann Lee Maude, '97, is one of the recipients of this
years Scholarship/Leadership Awards presented by the
Parent's Association.

Dr. Roger Terry was tapped by Morter Board with their
teacher of the year award.

On January 28, 1997, Current student Elizabeth Hahn, '97,
was informed that she had won a best paper award for her
independent study that she submitted to be presented at
the Midwestern Psychological Association Meeting this May.
Her IS advisor was Dr. Carolyn Lee.
