Dedication of the George and Sara Zirkle Memorial Garden

On October 8, 2005, Hanover College dedicated a garden to the Late George and Sara Zirkle.  The garden is located between the library and the Center for Fine Art.  The dedication has remarks by President Nichols, Dr. Barbara Garvey, Anita Webster, and Darleen Connolly read remarks from a former student, Connie Thrasher Jaquith '67, and the Zirkle's two daughters, Millie Zirkle, and Claire Zirkle Porter, who gave the garden.

George Zirkle was a member of the Hanover Faculty from 1936-1976 and was the founder of the psychology department.  Sara taught at times in the department and worked in the library.
